Olympics and Economics


Here is a quite interesting research on the link between hosting the Olympic Games and its effects on the country's economy.

"Over the past 10 Olympics, the host nation has won 54% more medals than when it was not the host nation. If medals are your preferred currency, this represents a high return on investment" says a recent research by Goldman Sachs. Otherwise, Olympics might NOT be the best business opportunity for a country.
